Black-Owned Célébrez en Rosé Wine and Music Festival Announces Return

It’s time to get your friends and your pink and white attire ready. The nation’s largest Black-owned wine and music festival, Célébrez en Rosé, is back this spring.

Célébrez en Rosé, which is french for “celebrate in pink,” is a unique picnic-style event celebrating music, fashion, entertainment, and what organizers call “America’s favorite summer drink.” Since the festival began in 2018, thousands have dressed up in their finest pink and white to enjoy premier rosé wine, champagne and cocktails while listening to music.

Renowned artists, including Robin Thicke, Lupe Fiasco, Estelle, Mya, DJ Cassidy and DJ Jazzy Jeff, have all performed at this legendary event.

There are Instagram-worthy photo installations, luxurious VIP experiences and culinary offerings from celebrity chefs like Wolfgang Puck and Kelis.

Organizers said that the festival in 2022 was a success with tens of thousands of tickets sold. This year, Célébrez en Rosé is returning to three major markets to celebrate Black culture in 2023.

“When we founded this festival in 2018, we sought to bring a diverse group of people together to experience a luxury wine and music festival, unlike anything they have ever seen,” Founder and Executive Producer of Célébrez en Rosé Cleveland Spears III told Travel Noire. “As a Black-owned festival, we curate elevated guest experiences in some of the country’s most culturally rich cities. This was intentional. This event is important for the culture, and we ensure we support other luxury Black brands.”

Célébrez en Rosé Wine & Music Festival U.S. City Tour

The series starts in Houston on Saturday, April 29, at the Houston Botanic Garden. This year will mark the festival’s second appearance in Houston. Located conveniently between the Hobby Airport and the downtown area, Houston’s Botanical Garden is a stunning venue with plenty of outdoor space to enjoy a full day of music, wine and local food.

Jacquees, Big Freedia, MC Lyte, DJ Mr. Rogers, DJ Young Streetz and Marium Echo have all been confirmed for the Houston festival.

Following Houston, the second event will occur in Atlanta on Saturday, May 7. This is the fourth time that the festival will take place in Atlanta.

Atlanta fest-goers will celebrate in The Meadow at Piedmont Park. It’s the perfect location for Célébrez en Rosé because The Meadow becomes a colorful canvas of gorgeous blooms in the spring. There’s a reason why the park attracts more than four million visitors each year.

Memorial Day Weekend will culminate the fest’s United States’ tour in the DMV. The last celebration will be held in Merriweather Park at Symphony Woods. Situated just outside Washington, D.C., the 51-acre arts and culture park is located in downtown Columbia, Maryland.

“After such an overwhelming response in these cities last year, we’re excited to re-introduce the concept to new and returning rosé lovers through these three greatly improved locations,” Spears said. “In continuing to find ways to elevate the overall experience for our guests, we’re proud to announce that not only are these venues larger and easier to get to than previous years, but they will also provide beautiful scenery and countless photo ops – making Célébrez en Rosé a truly can’t miss event for 2023.”

The Latest On Célébrez en Rosé In Chicago

One city you may not see on the list for 2023 is Chicago. Organizers attribute “logistical factors” beyond their control to the reason why the Windy City did not make the city tour list.

“To all our rosé lovers in Chi-town, this isn’t goodbye, just see you later, as we hope to be back together again,” organizers stated on the website.
